Position: FinTech Summer Intern

More about this role We’re looking to recruit an intern over the summer holidays, someone with a keen interest in FinTech, who is looking to develop their skills further in an exciting role at a successful Edinburgh based fintech company operating in the Banking industry.

Your role will be to generate new regulatory report definitions from a defined specification. Working closely with the Head of QA you will be responsible for the creation and initial testing of the reports and then working closely with the QA team to resolve any issues that arise from the testing.

This is an exciting time to join ALMIS International. We have built a fantastic foundation and are now looking to bring in the right people to grow the business. There are several exciting projects, where the successful candidate will be able to collaborate closely with the other members of the senior leadership team in delivering value to our customers and the business.

This is the perfect opportunity for someone, either finishing school or in the first couple of years at university.

What you’ll do

• Create report definitions from a predefined specification

• Work closely with the QA team to ensure the report definition is correct

• Learn how the reports fit into our Regulatory Reporting solution

• Attention to detail

• Strong numeracy skills

• Good communication skills

• Ability to work to deadlines

Nice to have skills

• Experience on XML, HTML, or other tag-based scripts.

• Experience in using Excel

Your pay and conditions

This is a fixed period role and we are flexible on when you start between May/June 2022 and finish in September 2022. You will need to come to the Edinburgh office every day that you are working. We are happy to negotiate the number of hours per week.
