Job Title: Procurement Manager

Location: London

Salary Range: Competitive

Job Type: Permanent, full-time

Daily Responsibilities:

1) Establishing what services and equipment need to be sourced and liaising with the sales manager internally to discuss our purchasing requirements;

2) Prioritising and taking action on incoming purchase requests; Liaising with the local branch and third parties to review and clarify requirements;

3) Maintaining a good client and supplier relationship;

4) Negotiating prices and contract terms with the existing suppliers and researching for new suppliers, mainly related to Telecommunication Carrier Products, for example, Leased line products, and Internet Access Products. ICT services from the local ICT integrators are also required;

5) Providing quotation within required period to the originating part, placing orders to the providers;

6) Providing simple technical solutions, drawing up accurate RFP based on client’s or business partner’s original requirements; providing detailed solutions by presales, carrying out surveys and assessing bids from suppliers;

7) Maintaining the point of contact between the sales manager and the suppliers and regularly checking the quality of the service rendered and equipment purchased;

8) Working with London headquarter and local branches to update on-net pricing in the area of Mainland China, HK and Asia via an internal provisioning system;

9) Working closely with an internal account manager and technical manager to develop a deep understanding of the challenges that the client faces, also provide and review pricing for the account manager on a regular basis;

10) Resolving any difficulties like scheduling, resource allocation during the delivery; and

11) Liaise with the sales departments and the network department to determine the procurement requirements for each project.


The skills you need to succeed:

  1.  Excellent verbal and written communication in English and Chinese;

  2.  Good knowledge of Telecoms and Project Management;

  3.  Experienced in Administration and Project Management;

  4.  Good team spirit, open to a diverse workforce and familiar with both Chinese and British business culture;

  5.  Excellent communication skills to be able to liaise with the local branch and Head offices in Mainland China and Hong Kong;

  6.  Excellent supplier and contract management skills in the Telecom industry;

  7.  Master's Degree Educated is high desirable (IT, Telecoms).
