The HVS London Office is looking for an Intern to work for 3 months in the first half of 2022. This is the ideal opportunity for a student with a demonstrable passion to pursue a career in Hotel Valuation and Consulting to gain unique and invaluable on the job experience.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To actively support all functions of the Market Intelligence Department;

  • To support the consultants by conducting research, analysis and consulting as required;

  • To organise and circulate key trends, news and statistics among team members;

  • To assume responsibility for maintaining specific electronic HVS databases;

  • To assume responsibility for maintaining and developing a physical and electronic library of industry information;

  • To actively seek new research opportunities and sources;

  • Input with research-based assignments as appropriate.

Academic Background:

  • Degree from or currently studying at a recognised hotel school or business school.

Technical Skills Required:

  • Strong English language skills, both written and spoken;

  • Strong level of numeracy and an analytical aptitude;

  • Knowledge of the European hotel sector;

  • Strong computer skills, including financial modelling (Excel) and word processing (Word);

  • Desired: Ability to speak at least one other European language fluently.

Soft Skills:

  • Meticulous attention to detail

  • Great time management skills

  • Ability multi-task

  • Can be depended on by the team to meet deadlines and goals (both internal and external)

  • High personal, professional and ethical standards
