Finance Assistant

  • Assist in the day-to-day management of the month-end processes and regulatory requirements

  • Ensure statutory accounts are accurately prepared and reviewed

  • Identify areas of improvement with regards to process and procedure and challenge the status quo

  • Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual reporting to APRA & ABS

  • Maintains records of financial transactions by establishing accounts; posting transactions; ensure legal requirements compliance.

  • Develops a system to account for financial transactions by establishing a chart of accounts

Expected Interpersonal Learning Outcomes

  • Understand and apply the essential numerical skills required for bookkeeping and accounting

  • Understand and explain the relationship between the accounting equation and double-entry bookkeeping

  • Make sound financial decisions in real-world settings
