JOB ROLES: Venture Capital Analyst

LOCATION: LONDON

OVERVIEW

• Led the seed investments rounds of Rosecut, Ocyan, and Smartia with the company's fund, coinvesting alongside entrepreneur first, Telefonica and KX Systems, respectively.

• Invested in early venture investment rounds for Bibliu, Bitposter, and Coconut through our investment network.

• Collaborated with London Business School to launch its first executive education program for venture capital

JOB RESPONSIBILITY

The primary responsibilities include

• Support the initial screening stage of investment opportunities;

• Contribute to the production of investment papers and internal documents; and

• Coordinating with our compliance team to ensure that we are compliant with the relevant FCA regulations.

Secondary responsibilities include:

• Working collaboratively with the wider team to originate investment opportunities across the UK & Europe;

• Build out your peer network with advisors, co-investors and earlier stage funds;

• Market screening, data collection, and structured outreach;

• Provide analysis of sectors including key drivers, industry value chain, companies, transactions, key opinion leaders etc; and

• Supporting the team in investment and portfolio management

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Please enter the minimum criteria, skills, education, licenses etc. required to do this job

• We would expect candidates to have a mathematical background (eg degree in Mathematics, Physics, Actuarial Science or Computer Science) with an interest in applying mathematical techniques to financial modelling

• Interest in building knowledge of mathematics models and financial markets

• Familiarity with statistical computing packages (eg Matlab) or first experience in programming languages (eg C#), with an interest to further develop your programming skills

• Good attitude and willingness to learn

• You will be supported by the team to apply a logical and thorough approach to a broad range of tasks.
