The Challenge

Vortexa is looking for a Data Analyst Intern in our London office. You will be part of our

global Market Intelligence & Analytics Team, and over the course of your placement have a

direct impact on our ambitious growth plans.

In this role, your responsibilities will primarily include research tasks and data quality

operations including the manipulation, cleaning, testing and analysing a variety of key

datasets. You will also learn how to use our internal tools and processes to help maintain

data excellence on a day-to-day basis.

You will work in close collaboration with the experienced market and data analyst experts in

London, Singapore and Houston and collaborate on data quality initiatives. You will also be

called upon to help support your team in responding to ad-hoc client requests.

You must be highly analytical and a driven self-starter with a positive and proactive

approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced, friendly and constantly evolving start-up

environment.

You have...

• Recently graduated, and have experience in analysing and investigating datasets in an

academic or work experience capacity

• A results-oriented focus, strong attention to detail and the ability to efficiently

prioritise multiple objectives

• Experience working with advanced Excel, SQL and programming languages such as Python

• A keen interest in learning more about the future of energy and shipping markets

• Strong communication skills; written, verbal and listening
