the Stand for Nature Wales project is a youth climate change project with a big

ambition!

The six Wildlife Trusts in Wales have come together to tackle climate change with

the help of the young people of Wales. Our teams are working to empower and

inspire young people to take action for nature and wildlife in their local area in a bid

to tackle climate change.


The Wildlife Trust of South and West Wales’ Living Seas team based at the

Cardigan Bay Marine Wildlife Centre in New Quay is working with young people to

protect our seas, take climate action and inspire others in the local community to

make a difference. The role is a fixed term contract until August 31st 2024 and

involves working alongside the Marine Conservation staff and volunteer team at the

Cardigan Bay Marine Wildlife Centre, New Quay to enhance and develop your skills

and knowledge in marine conservation.


The position available for application is a Marine Conservation Intern.

• Marine Conservation Intern working to undertake a variety of marine

conservation activities including our research, collecting valuable evidence to

help protect our seas and marine wildlife to help tackle the effects of climate

change within our marine environment. The role will also involve working to

promote the conservation and protection of the oceans and inspiring others to

make a difference through public engagement and outreach activity.
